Originally founded in 1983, Focal Point Fires plc is located in Christchurch, Dorset where they manufacture and distribute high quality gas and electric fires. Over the years, the company has grown to become one of the leading gas and electric fire manufacturers in the marketplace.
Throughout their successful history, Focal Point Fires plc have been pioneers in bringing forth new technology and innovation to the gas fire market. They were the first in the gas fire sector to introduce a purpose made, double skinned firebox to improve heat efficiency and both Flame Supervision Devices and Oxygen Depletion Sensors on all their range to improve safety.
Their products are manufactured under the strict guidelines of BS EN ISO9002, an internationally recognised standard for Quality Management. ISO9002 governs many aspects of the company, from the Goods Inwards procedures of checking the quality of components coming into their factories, through production control, to the Customer Service available for appliances manufactured by them.
In 2000, Focal Point Fires became the first company in their sector to be accredited with BS EN ISO14001. This standard marks their commitment to the environment and covers everything from recycled materials and bio-degradable products, to energy efficiency within the workplace.
