Carron was founded in Stirlingshire, Scotland in 1760 by the Roebuck Family. Throughout its history, Carron had many associations with highly regarded engineers and designers of the day, such as James Watt and Robert Adam, creator of many fine stoves and fireplaces.

The Carron mark has long been associated with products of the finest quality. Original castings such as the lamp pillars that adorn the embankment in London still stand proudly today. The heritage of Carron continues today, remaining faithful to the production techniques and finish of its forefathers.

Specifications

Please note all measurements of Carron fireplaces & stoves are approximate and may vary slightly. Please allow a tolerance of plus/minus 10mm. Carron endeavour to ensure that all colours are as accurate as possible, however we recommend you check with your retailer before placing an order.

Solid fuels
If using solid fuels please be aware that they will discolour polished or brass products. If this is a concern we recommend selecting a full black finish. Do not use anthracite or petroleum coke as this will significantly reduce the life of the product.

Carron Tiles
All Carron tube lined tiles are hand painted. The crazing that appears in the glaze is a natural characteristic for this type of product.

Fitting
The fitting of Carron solid fuel fireplaces and wood burning stove products must be carried out or supervised by a Hetas qualified solid fuel engineer. Carron will accept no responsibility for any products that are not installed in this way.

Care of your Carron fireplace
To keep your fireplace in prime condition, please follow these simple care instructions:

For full polish finish
Keep oiled using a thin coat of a light oil such as 3 in 1 oil. This treatment should be carried out twice a year or as required. Any surface rust should be removed using a fine wire wool and then re-oiled. Avoid exposing the cast iron surface to moisture.

For highlight/black finish
Coat with an iron paste and buff up to enhance the finish of your fireplace. Do not use spray polish or any other method of cleaning than above.

Cast iron is a natural material, which is subject to minor imperfections and should be considered part of its characteristic. Carron reserve the right to amend designs without prior notification.

Carron Gas fires
All Carron gas fires are manufactured in the UK and comply to all CE requirements and British standard BSEN509:2000. They come complete with flame failure device and oxygen depletion system. All gas fires must be fitted by a Gas Safe registered installer.

Carron Multi-Fuel Stove Warranty
Carron Stoves are supplied with a 3 year stove body and 1 year inner components warranty. This warranty does not cover items considered consumables. These items include door glass, fire bricks, fire rope and grates. The use of incorrect fuels would invalidate this warranty.

Solid Fuel appliances must be installed by a HETAS engineer. Proof of purchase and certificate of installation would be required in the case of a warranty claim.

Due to limitations of the printing process, colour reproduction of enamel stoves may vary slightly from those shown. Occasionally the enamel finish can show a crazing/cracking effect on the surface of the stove during use. This effect will normally lessen as the stove cools and should not be considered a defect. This crazing effect can be made worse by incorrect fuel or over-fueling.
