Stovax Riva Cassette Fire Specs

The Stovax Riva2 40 Freestanding Stove brings the warmth and atmosphere of a traditional fire into a compact, contemporary design that feels perfectly at home in modern British living. As the smallest model in the Riva2 freestanding collection, it is crafted for those who want the pleasure of real flames without overwhelming their room. Despite its modest footprint, this multi-fuel stove is a remarkably capable performer, offering clean, efficient heat whether you prefer to burn logs or approved smokeless fuels. Behind its sleek exterior lies a wealth of engineering innovation, showcasing Stovax’s renowned craftsmanship and commitment to low-emission, high-efficiency heating.

Designed with both beauty and practicality in mind, the Riva2 40 Freestanding features smooth lines, soft edges and a carefully balanced form that makes it an elegant focal point even before the fire is lit. Once in use, the large viewing panel reveals a stunning flame picture, giving the stove a vivid and inviting presence. Whether placed in a snug cottage sitting room or a compact open-plan living space, it offers the perfect blend of style and substance, delivering up to 4.9kW of comforting heat with the ease and refinement expected from a premium Stovax appliance.

Efficiency sits at the heart of this design. Meeting the strict requirements of the Ecodesign 2022 directive, the Riva2 40 burns cleanly and responsibly, producing significantly lower emissions than older stove models. It is also DEFRA approved, allowing homeowners in Smoke Control Zones to enjoy real-log fires legally and confidently. A combination of advanced Cleanburn technology and a powerful Airwash system ensures excellent combustion and a clear flame view, while giving owners precise control over the burn rate. Whether you want a gentle, glowing ember bed or a lively, high-output blaze, the stove responds effortlessly.

A standout feature of the Riva2 range is the integrated external air supply connection. Unlike many stoves that require additional kits, this model is already prepared to draw combustion air directly from outdoors, a major advantage in today’s well-insulated homes. This not only helps maintain balanced ventilation but also enhances overall efficiency, reducing heat loss into the room. The convenience continues with Stovax’s Ri-Ignite Boost Mode, which offers a quick burst of airflow to relight logs from a fading ember bed - ideal for those who want reliable heat throughout the day without the hassle of repeated fire-starting.

Versatility extends to installation and presentation too. The Riva2 40 Freestanding can sit proudly on its own, be mounted on a contemporary steel bench or lifted visually with an optional log box, which also provides practical fuel storage. You can choose between cast iron legs for an industrial look or beautifully finished wooden feet for a softer, more natural aesthetic. This flexibility allows the stove to complement interiors ranging from rustic country cottages to minimalist modern homes. It is even suitable for installation on a 12mm decorative hearth, offering more layout freedom in compact spaces.

Built with longevity in mind, this stove embodies Stovax’s decades of expertise in solid-fuel appliance design. Strong materials, meticulous engineering and a dedication to performance all contribute to a stove that promises many years of dependable warmth. For those seeking high-quality heating in a smaller room without compromising on features or flame aesthetics, the Riva2 40 Freestanding makes a truly outstanding choice.
