The Portway 1 Traditional can also be used to burn wood (and smokeless fuels) even if you're located within a smokeless area. It has a nominal heat output of 4.9kW so in most installations, an air vent in the room is not normally required. A powerful Airwash helps to keep the glass clean.
The Portway 1 Traditional is a multi-fuel appliance and inside the stove is a large, easy-carry ashpan. You have the advantage of burning logs up to 300mm in length or approved solid fuels and when burning solid fuel, the stove is capable of long burn periods of up to 10 hours.
